Description of the center
The Institute for Simulation and Interprofessional Studies has, as its primary goal, to provide leadership in the use of simulation technologies to improve the quality of health care education and improve patient safety and outcomes. ISIS will seek highly collaborative alliances in selected projects with other educational and health care delivery systems with similar interests in simulation. The primary impact of ISIS will be upon the citizens of the State of Washington and the greater WWAMI region. Through its research and education efforts and publication of results, ISIS will also have a strong influence and potential impact upon providers and patients in a global fashion.
